ISLAMABAD: The Polio Virology Laboratory at the National Institute of Health affirmed an alternate six polio cases on Thursday, raising the quantity of cases reported not long from now to 164. 


A 13-month-old young lady, of Mera Aka Khel in Bara tehsil of Khyber Agency, has been accounted for to have gotten the infection. 

The second exploited person is an eight-month-old kid, of Aka Khel, likewise of Khyber Agency. 

Two cases, a 12-month-old kid is from Razmak tehsil in North Waziristan and the other, a seven-month-old young lady is from Wana tehsil in South Waziristan. 

The fifth exploited person is 10-month-old kid from Mir Mohammad Goth of Sultanabad in Gadap Town of Karachi. 

The sixth is a 22-month-old young lady of Raja Tanveer Colony in Orangi Town, Karachi. 

"The four youngsters from Fata were not immunized on account of a boycott forced by the Taliban in June 2012. Yet the folks of both youngsters from Karachi declined to get their kids immunized," said an official of the Prime Minister's Monitoring and Coordination Cell for Polio.
